Xeni Barakos,
a four-year letter winner in lacrosse at Division II East
Stroudsburg University, oversees Body Zone's lacrosse programs and
is the head coach of
BZ Elite travel club. At ESU she was named a member of the
All Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Team as a senior in
2011. She led the Warriors to the program’s first PSAC Tournament
win since 1986 with an upset at nationally ranked Gannon. In her
four years, ESU won 39 games, the most in school history, and the
2008 and 2010 teams set school records with 11 wins. She graduated
from ESU with a bachelor’s degree in Media Communications and
Technology and a minor in Communications Studies.
Xeni played lacrosse at Cocalico High School where she was a
four-year varsity letter winner. In 2007, she was named Most
Valuable Attacker, Most Outstanding Senior and Lancaster-Lebanon
League Section II All Star. In 2006, she led the team to a
Lancaster-Lebanon League Championship culminating in a perfect
season, 19-0. In 2005, she was part of the Section II
Lancaster-Lebanon League Championship Team.
She resides in Denver, PA and continues her passion for horseback
riding, when she isn’t coaching or playing lacrosse.
Kelly Holcombe, Coordinator of Youth
Programs

Kelly
is Coordinator of
Youth Programs at Body Zone. This includes camps, tot
zone, tot sports and birthday parties. She received a B.S. in
Health and Physical Education K-12 from East Stroudsburg University.
An experienced teacher, coach and lifeguard, she has an extensive
background in camp programs for children. She is a Disney College
Program alumna, served as a Youth Activities Counselor for Disney
Cruise Line onboard the Disney Wonder and has a combined 11 years of
experience with local summer day camps.
Matt Herneisen, Director of Ice Hockey

Matt Herneisen is currently Body Zone’s Director of Ice Hockey.
He oversees the facility's hockey operations which also includes
serving as head coach for the
Berks Bruins,
running the
Adult Instructional League,
tournaments,
camps,
Cross
Ice and
clinics.
The Bruins field teams at the mite, squirt, peewee, bantam and
midget levels. Under Herneisen’s leadership Bruins teams have won
major tournaments at famous arenas such as, Pennsylvanis’s Cambria
County War Memorial Arena where Slapshot was filmed, and the Olympic
Arena Center in Lake Placid, N.Y. where the United States captured
the 1980 gold medal. They also captured the prestigious Sea Coast
Cup at the University of New Hampshire's Whittemore Center.
He played professionally as a center from 1998 through 2009. A
Gilbertsville, Pa. native, Herneisen’s final two seasons were with
his hometown Reading Royals where he served as captain. Prior to
joining Body Zone, Herneisen was the Royals assistant coach for one
season.
Herneisen went to Atlanta Thrashers rookie camp in 2002 as a free
agent and followed it up with one of his best seasons. While playing
with the Sault St. Marie Greyhounds of the Onatrio Hockey League,
where his coach was former Flyer John Vanbiesbrouck, Herneisen
finished second on the club in points (61) to former Flyer and
current Los Angeles King Jeff Carter (71).
Off the ice, Matt was honored as an Outstanding Young
Professional in the Community by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in
2012.
Troy Snyder, Director of
Soccer

Body Zone's
soccer programs are developed by former Fleetwood,
Penn State, US National Team and professional standout Troy Snyder.
In addition to serving as Body Zone's Director of Soccer Snyder is
also Vice President and Technical Director for the Reading United,
the official player development partner of the Philadelphia Union.

Audrey Turner, Director of
Skating Programs

Audrey Turner, a former skater with Ice Capades where she
performed for four years, oversees Body Zone's
skating programs. She was also a show publicist for two
years with Ice Capades. Turner attended Merrimack College in
Andover, MA. She has three boys who play hockey and one daughter
currently who is currently a Flyers ice girl. Audrey is married to
John Turner who played hockey at Merrimack and has coached youth
hockey for many years.
