Reading United & Body Zone Partnership
Instructional programs and leagues developed by Berks soccer leader

Body Zone Sports and Wellness Complex is the area’s premier soccer headquarters. Area athletes learn from and play with the best with programs developed and conducted by Reading United AC and Body Zone Director of Soccer Troy Snyder, a former All American and National Team Player. Programs include our Player Development Program, leagues and tournaments, Futsal, education and licensing for coaches, individual and team camps, one-on-one and small group training sessions and Body Zone’s very popular SPRINT Speed & Agility Training program.

Body Zone Sports and Wellness Complex has formalized a partnership with Reading United A.C. to operate and develop Body Zone's soccer programming.

"Body Zone is excited to further solidify our relationship with Reading United AC by partnering with them for their soccer resources," Body Zone General Manager Ted Kolva said. "Body Zone wants to continue to be the club-neutral soccer hub for all soccer players in Berks County and Reading United AC will help us achieve that by providing us with instructional support, technical expertise, camps and an overall identity in the soccer community. Body Zone's new Director of Soccer, Troy Snyder and the Reading United AC staff and players will be on-site at Body Zone to help us achieve all of our soccer goals."

Like the Philadelphia Union have done on a regional scale, Reading United's youth training philosophy allows them to be the only club neutral local soccer organization that provides training and programs that benefit the local youth soccer clubs and the Reading Berks Junior Soccer League. Reading United offers youth players and clubs, program and training options that fit all levels from the recreational player through premier level players including the Reading United/Body Zone Summer Soccer Camps that will be featured at several local youth clubs in addition to indoor camps at Body Zone.

Our Player Development Program focuses on the development of young soccer players and also serves as a player identification program for teams and programs affiliated with Reading United and the Philadelphia Union.

As part of the partnership, Reading United has a full-time presence at Body Zone in Snyder, who is also Vice President and Technical Director for the United. Body Zone and Reading United staffs also team-up on organizational and marketing efforts to further develop soccer programs, camps, leagues and tournaments.

We are ecstatic about this partnership," Reading President Art Auchenbach said. "Troy is one of only a few USSF A Licensed soccer coaches in the Reading area and the only US National Team player from Berks County. Troy's contacts and experiences in the professional, coaching and US National Team ranks, combined with our current PDL team success and partnership with the Philadelphia Union, will be an unmatched foundation from which Body Zone and Reading United will realign the soccer landscape in the Greater Reading area and provide some much needed clarity for the soccer consumer."
