How MYZONE Boosts Your Group Fitness Experience

Committed to making your fitness experience more engaging and fun, we partnered with MYZONE technology, a system of wearable heart rate monitors and real-time feedback that will make your workout experience at Body Zone more interactive than before. Using Bluetooth technology and TV monitors in our studios, it gives you instant feedback on your heart rate, effort expended and calorie burn — valuable feedback for your instructor too. They use this info to make sure they’re structuring a consistent and challenging environment every time you take a class with us. Learn more about MYZONE at Body Zone.

new to group fitness?

  • Choose the right class: Start with a beginner-friendly class that matches your fitness level and interests.
  • Arrive early: Arriving 10-15 minutes early gives you time to get familiar with the space, meet the instructor, and ask any questions about the class.
  • Wear comfortable clothing: Opt for workout clothes and shoes suitable for the activity to ensure comfort and safety.
  • Introduce yourself to the instructor: Let them know you’re new, so they can provide guidance or modifications if needed.
  • Bring water and a towel: Staying hydrated and having a towel handy will help keep you comfortable during the workout.
  • Find a good spot: Position yourself where you can see and hear the instructor clearly, but don’t feel pressured to stand at the front.
  • Go at your own pace: Don’t feel obligated to keep up with others — listen to your body and take breaks if needed.
  • Focus on form: Your Body Zone Group Fitness Instructor is a specialist in proper form to keep you safe, prevent injury and help you get the most from your class. Listen to their cues and any modifications to help you prioritize proper technique over speed or intensity to avoid injuries.
  • Stay positive: It’s normal to feel a bit out of place at first, but remember everyone started as a beginner.
  • Have fun: Enjoy the experience and embrace the energy of the group—it’s a great way to stay motivated!
