Harvard study: great health benefits for grown-ups who play sports

The health benefits for adults who play sports are excellent according to a Harvard Gazette article. The article also acknowledges the challenge of getting people to do so as they age.

The article states that the benefits of playing sports are impactful. It lists keeping the body strong, reducing the risk of heart disease, blood pressure, stroke and some cancers in addition to possible improvement in cognitive functions as reasons to stay competitive.

Some of the factors they cite as to why adults stop playing sports are lack of interest and access.

If you have the interest, Body Zone makes sports accessible. See below for a list of our adult sports leagues and click here for the full Harvard Gazette article.
