Balancing the Summer Body: Cooling the Fire Within
A Three-Part Yoga Therapy Series for Stress Relief, Better Sleep & Nervous System Reset
Summer is associated with the Fire Element—a season of warmth, activity, connection and outward energy. While these qualities can bring joy and vitality, too much fire can leave us feeling overstimulated, burned out, or disconnected from our natural rhythms.
Join yoga therapist Beth Harenza for this three-part seasonal reset designed to help you slow down, cool excess heat and restore balance through the wisdom of Yoga, Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Each 90-minute session will combine gentle movement, breathwork, mindfulness, yin and restorative yoga and practical wellness tools that participants can continue using throughout the summer.
Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of how summer affects the body and mind, along with simple practices to support better sleep, stress resilience, nervous system regulation and overall well-being.

Pacifying Pitta: An Ayurvedic Perspective According to Ayurveda, summer naturally increases Pitta dosha—the energy of heat, intensity, ambition, and transformation. In this session, we will explore: common signs of excess Pitta, how heat affects the body, mind, and emotions, cooling yoga and breath practices, strategies for cultivating balance, ease, and contentment during the hottest months of the year. |

Summer Survival Toolkit: Ayurvedic and Yogic Practices for Everyday Life Bring everything together in this practical and experiential session focused on creating your personal summer wellness plan. Participants will learn: cooling self-care rituals, breath practices for stress and heat, yoga therapy tools for anxiety and sleep, nourishing seasonal lifestyle recommendations, simple daily practices to stay grounded, calm, and refreshed through the remainder of the summer. |

About Beth Harenza:
Beth believes in the soulful, healing power of yoga on the mind and body. She teaches vinyasa, slow flow, yin and restorative yoga. She is certified to teach trauma-informed yoga, in addition to InnerYoga and Energy Medicine Yoga, two therapeutic approaches that combine yogic practices, ancient healing modalities, and modern science. Beth is adept at designing thoughtful and thorough yogic applications, individualized for private and small-group classes, to support healing from innumerable imbalances including stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, injuries, and trauma.
Beth is currently in the Advanced Teacher Training track in Energy Medicine Yoga, in addition to clinical work in the Yoga Therapy program at Prana Yoga Institute of Yoga and Holistic Health. She offers services in Reading, PA.
