Citizen CPR by BZ Swim Instructor Jenis Frederick
Join Jenis for this American Red Cross Citizen CPR course designed to teach untrained bystanders how to perform hands-only CPR. Learn this simple lifesaving skill and help save lives by putting more cardiac arrest victims within a few steps of lifesaving assistance. Limited to 24 participants per class. We’re heading to one of our turf fields on our main level for the ultimate circuit workout! Expect interval cardio and muscle conditioning drills along with a ton of variety and fun. Join us as we get our sweat on in this specially-designed class in honor of Member Appreciation Day. Members are invited to bring a guest! Please ask them to arrive 15 minutes before class to sign a guest waiver at Guest Services.HIT Bag Training by Dan Plummer
Come prepared to sweat and train MMA style as you kick and box on our heavy bags for free. You will be switching on and off the bags, incorporating core and cardio training in an interval style format. All levels are welcome but be prepared to be pushed to your limit! Yoga’s sister science, Ayurveda, has a lot to say about what we can and should be eating for optimal health and vitality, including ways to maintain a healthy weight without deprivation. You’ll begin the program with a 20-minute yoga flow for improving digestive function, follow up with a discussion of the ways to invite in greater well-being through food, and finish with some yummy treats to satisfy your lunch needs. Limited to 22 participants.
