How To Find Motivation To Work Out
By Body Zone Trainer Olivia Shaffer
We all want to get in shape and for the most part we know how to. There’s no magic secret, you exercise and eat healthy. So then why do we lose motivation two weeks into a healthy lifestyle?
Once the initial “I’m ready to be healthy!” excitement ends, the motivation ends as well.
You either decide to give up or push through at this point.
Here’s how to push through, it’s so simple.
You’re going to count backwards from five as follows: 5,4,3,2,1 put on your sneakers and get to the gym.
It takes five seconds for your brain to talk you out of doing something uncomfortable.
Once you take one tiny action, you’ll be able to stay in motion before your brain can talk you out of it.
So the next time you set a goal to get to the gym, stick with it by using the five-second rule.
Below is a workout and an opportunity for you to put the five-second rule into action. Learn/watch the moves in action via my video of the workout too. You’re worth it!
Repeat up to three times:
10 steps walking lunges with dumbbells
